A Chessie at the Club Show

The Chesapeake Bay Retriever Club holds various events throughout the year. A championship breed show is held once a year, usually in July. Each year there are two gundog working tests, one in the spring and one in the autumn. The working tests tend to move around the country, from Hampshire in the South of England to the Angus Glens of Scotland, plus many other locations in between!

Other events include obedience workshops, training days, breed seminars, dog and gun days, WD stakes and fun days. The Club also takes part in inter-breed gundog working tests with other retriever breeds.

Spectators are welcome at CBRC shows and working tests, where you can see the dogs in action. Please contact the organisers listed in the table below if you would like to attend any events.

There are three levels of test and each one must be passed before progressing to the next level. They are non-competitive pass/fail tests.
There will also be a training day with Jason Mayhew on Friday 3 May.

You can download details of the tests, as well as notes for organisers and judges.
